Dell also reversed course on the wonky capacitive function row from the previous models — which again, looked cool, but had some serious usability issues. God forbid you were outside and wanted to change the volume level! This XPS 14 brings back a normal keyed function row, which is easier to touch type on and actually works in direct sunlight. (I sometimes wonder if Dell's designers ever went outside with the last XPS 14.)
